Description

A duo of authors, specializing in the issues of safety management in rail transport, with a great theoretical and practical achievements, is a guarantee of a high scientific level of texts. The authors of the monographs are also known from many other publications in the professional literature. The reviewed monograph gave them the opportunity to deepen and expand some of the issues, as well as to introduce many new scientific issues to their texts, so far rather modestly presented in the scientific literature on rail transport.
Assessing the overall structure of the monograph, and in particular its proposed layout, it can be stated that it is, in principle, correct from the point of view of the entire publishing intention, consisting in showing, in particular, to the recipients from economic practice the entire railway sector, what a modern approach to the systemic management of safety and maintenance processes in rail transport.
